At RICHMOND RECRUITMENT our UK based client is looking to recruit a Lead Mechanical Engineer based in the UK.

Job Specification
The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for Mechanical Engineering across the whole site.

Key responsibilities include:
Managing, organisation & development of an engineering team. Managing the engineering risks associated with mechanical aspects of gas turbines, HRSG's, steam turbines and balance of plant. Management and co-ordination of major overhaul work. Recommending, managing and delivering schemes for improvements and replacement as appropriate. Provision of engineering guidance to the day maintenance function. Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and environmental legislation and Company directives. Budget preparation and financial control.

Person Specification
The successful candidate must be qualified to degree level or equivalent and have considerable practical experience in power station mechanical engineering. You will have experience of large combustion rotating plant, preferably at a large fossil fired power station. Proven contract management skills are essential requirement of the position You will need to be IT literate and be results orientated and cost conscious. An awareness of the commercial aspect of a power generation business is also desirable.
