Title - Business Development& Operations Exec

Purpose

Maximize Company revenues by selling products and services into the government, corporate and commercial customers segments within the Health Care Industry.

Objectives

  • Monitor market environment and support Director to identify, evaluate and develop strategies to enhance the sales capability and to capture opportunities to expand the Company's portfolio of products and services
  • Support the Director of Business Development in the review of Company selling practices and the development of an integrated business development strategy
  • Build relations with key government and industry players to influence and guide the development of the security services market in general in a manner that maximizes company competitive position
  • Build relations with Senior Operations Managers to ensure full engagement in pricing contracts and the tendering process from the earliest stage in the process, and identify key influencers in re-bid situations
  • Source new leads and follow-up on leads provided by colleagues and other contacts to generate additional business and maximize company revenues
  • Ensure the process for the preparation of professional tender is followed, and refined where appropriate, and that those documents presented to customers position company in the best possible light to secure the business
  • Follow-up potential clients to maximize the conversion rate of proposals / tenders to actual sales
  • Ensure customer debriefs are conducted for all unsuccessful tenders to build understanding of deficiency, capture learning in other presentations and position company to re-tender at the next opportunity.
  • Ensure that Operations staff are fully briefed on proposals / tenders by the sales team and have the capacity to deliver any sales achieved in line with customer expectations
  • Ensure they are kept apprised of developments of existing and emerging security products and assess their potential for inclusion in the Company's product range in line with industry and other relevant standards.

Skills knowledge and experience

  • Advanced interpersonal, communications, influencing and presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong planning & organisation skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly MS Office products
  • Financial appreciation with ability to understand management and company accounts
  • Self-motivated
  • At least 3 years experience in a Business Development/Healthcare industry is essential
