Our client was established in 1986. Through ongoing growth the Company relocated to its existing 16,000 ft sq. purpose built manufacturing plant. The company employs almost 35 staff between direct and indirect staff. The company's client base is in both Ireland and the UK and extends to the local authorities and construction sector.

Operations Manager

Reporting to the MD, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and inspiring a cross-functional diverse team, will have overall P&L responsibility for site operations, planning, budgeting, implementing and controlling costs.

The successful candidate will operate in a manufacturing environment, with strong focus on operational efficiency, customer requirements and cost control. They will manage the following functional areas:

  • Production
  • Engineering
  • Finance
  • Supply Chain
  • IT/IS



Key responsibilities include efficiently operating production, maintaining excellent communications between shifts and with other functions, planning materials and tooling availability, trouble shooting, driving continuous improvement of processes, operating systems and introduction of new equipment.

The future Operations Manager, will ideally hold a Degree or higher in Engineering or other relevant disciplines. They will have a proven track record of successfully leading a manufacturing operation in a SME organisation. They will be experienced in managing in an automoted manufacturing organisation. They will have excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills with a proven track record for managing customer relationships. Experience in developing and implementing strategic business and operational plans and budgets is essential to this role.
