In partnership with one of their key clients, Cpl Ltd is currently seeking an IT Support Engineer for a permanent job opportunity based in Belfast City Centre.

The Client:
This is a managed communications provider of world class communications to both the sectors of government and public sector, and the enterprise and large businesses.

Job Role:
The primary function of the role is to be responsible for the day to day care and administration of the IT environments for all organisations' internal and external customers. This includes the following:
• Responsibility for the maintenance of hardware (both desktop and server), operating systems, corporate applications and management tools.
• Administration and maintenance of all IT Systems
• Build, install, monitor & maintain production, staging & development server environments
• Ensure high availability of all systems in a 24/7 environment
• Writing documentation, including technical procedural documentation
• Troubleshooting of server/desktop hardware and software related problems
• Disaster Recovery Planning and testing

Requirements:
• IT related degree or equivalent
• 5 years experience in a similar role
• Confident manner with excellent Technical and Operational capabilities
• Ability to work on own initiative and part of team
• Organisational Skills
• Good interpersonal Qualities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Technical skills will include some of the following:
• Windows 2000 / 2003 server
• Windows Desktop Operating Systems and Office Environments
• Active directory
• Anti Virus (E Trust)
• ISA
• Exchange 2007 enterprise
• Email/SPAM filtering
• Backup utilities
• WSUS Patching for operating systems
• Cisco PIX firewalls and IPSEC VPNs
• SQL Server 2000/2005
• IIS, DNS, SMTP, RDP
• VMWare - ESXi, VCentre & Vsphere
• Linux Environments - Red Hat
