Job description: At RICHMOND RECRUITMENT our client is looking to recruit a Customer Engineer.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs and establishes satisfactory operation of all our clients hardware and software. Perform pro-active maintenance according to established procedures. Adhere to proper escalation procedures. Perform part replacements as directed by CSC/PSE lab.
  
• Includes the timely and accurate submission of all associated documentation as well as part returns within 24 hours of an event. Submit accurate and timely expense reports and timecards.
  
  
• Prepares accurate Clarify cases at the completion of an event. Assure complete customer satisfaction at assigned accounts by adherence to the following: Prompt onsite arrival time, Technical expertise, Knowledge of customer environment, Professionalism, periodic visits as needed. Travel time and overtime required with valid driver''s license and reliable automobile. May be required to work Alternative Work Schedule and must carry a communication device.
  
  
• Maintains all assigned spare parts, tools and personal test equipment. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or senior employee on-site. Create and maintain account notebooks for all assigned accounts. Maintain microcode at current levels at all assigned accounts
  
  
• Attends training classes as required to develop and maintain a working knowledge of our client equipment, software, OEM equipment and Basic configurations.
  Adheres to the Symmetrix Keys to Success. Diagnose limited system malfunctions to isolate problems to our client, other OEM vendors or software and develop appropriate action plans.
  
  
• Plans the installation of new equipment including the creation of basic implementation configuration files. Must have the ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, work atop a ladder, and install cables.
  
  

  SKILLS
  
  

  Strong technical aptitude.
  Ability to build, repair or prepare assemblies across EMC's product line.
  Related experience in a high tech manufacturing environment
