Assistant Resident Engineer (Water) Sub-Saharan Africa
URGENT requirement has just been requested by an Irish engineering consultancy specialising in water and environmental engineering across the globe. Due to a very recent project commission, the client is under extensive pressure to hire a new Assistant Resident Engineer position immediately. The project is rehabilitation and upgrade of two major water treatment facilities within an existing water plant located in Sub - Saharan Highlands.
As this is an URGET requirement, the deadline for all applications is Monday September 6th at 10:00am
The successful candidate will match ALL of the selection criteria:
- Professional registered engineer (chartered by one of the recognized bodies) with proven experience in construction supervision of large-scale water supply systems in developing countries
- Minimum BSc degree qualification in Civil Engineering or any other relevant field
- Minimum of ten (10) years overall engineering experience
- Minimum of six (6) years relevant experience in the construction supervision of water supply projects of similar scope, size and complexity (similar to upgrade of a Water Treatment Plant of 20 mega litres/Day and construction of 4km of 400mm diameter pipe)
- Minimum of 4 years within a site supervision capacity with solid exposure to large-scale projects
- Proven track record of project delivery within time
This role is a guaranteed 27-month contract and offers the following remuneration package:
- Salary basic of 6,400 Euro tax free
- Fully expensed and serviced accommodation, transport +driver
- Typically 2 return flights
- Medical, accident and life assurance
- 1 month annual leave
Initial interviews will be conducted in Dublin on Wednesday September 8th and Thursday September 9th so all applicant must ensure their availability for the same.
