At RICHMOND RECRUITMENT our client is looking to recruit a GS Tools Software Development Manager.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages a group of developers, solution architects and project leaders in global context.
Responsible for hiring a new team which will be developing the data migration and Storage Array/SAN components of the Networked Storage Designer (NSD) Tools.
Provides the technical management for the program and give technical leadership for specific toolsets in order to enhance/expedite customer engagements.
Develops strategies, policies and best practices for tool automation. Develop a strong relationship with the product engineering teams to create a cohesive cross platform solution.
Work with field requirements and product engineering teams to define tools architecture and strategy.
Proactively provides input into the development of process policies, procedures, standards and strategies.
Overall project management of the development and testing phases of the program and ensuring that the solution achieves its quality and delivery timeframe objectives
Maintains awareness of existing or potential escalation issues. Ensures compliance and follows the escalation and change control process.
SKILLS
At least 10 - 12 years experience in Information Technology
four or more years experience managing technical teams and management of medium to large software development projects the following experience.
Experienced with enterprise management frameworks.
Experienced and familiar with systems integration technology (BPM or SOA) and relational databases.
Experienced in development technologies such as Java, XML, web services, etc.
Experienced with project management tools.
Experience working in the full software development lifecycle.
Have a proven track record in product delivery
Ability to lead, motivate and direct a global workgroup
Financial and analytical experience.
Ability to influence others to achieve results.
Communication skills.
