My client is one of the leading food producers and distributors in Ireland; they currently have a job for a highly experienced Production Manager in Wexford
You will be responsible for all aspects for Bakery Production on a 3 shift manufacturing cycle and with a team of 100+ manufacturing personel.
You will be supported by a Shift Supervisor for each of the 3 shifts.
The plant is running 24 hours a day Monday to Friday and on Saturdays.
You will report to the overall Plant Manager and you will have a key role as a contributor to ensuring the annual production objectives of the site are achieved
You will have ownership of the staff training and development programme as well as ensuring complience to on-site Health and Safety Standards.
Daily responsibilities.
· Ownership of daily and weekly planning to achieve sales requirements.
· Ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with customer's specification and always striving to meet and exceed quality standards.
· Agree and manage departmental targets, own production plans with the shift supervisors and line supervisors.
· Agree key productivity indicators with the 3 shift teams and ensure that these are achieved daily / weekly.
· Manage the staff training and development programme.
· Continue to the development and implementation of overall site policy.
· Work in partnership with Engineering, Quality, and New Product Development to ensure that the site is continually seeking to be at the leading edge of the business and developing and launching new products to market.
· Management in partnership with site Quality Manager of the site quality management system.
