Our Client one of the most successful Irish companies are current hiring an interim Head of Human Resource

This position will be backfilled for between 4 to 5 days per week commencing on the 1st of June 2008. This position will cease in March 2009 (approx).

Our client employs 450 people (380 of whom are permanent). We have a network of 62 branches based across the South, South east and Midlands from where we sell agricultural products.We also have two production facilities where we produce our own feed range

The backfill will be involved in all aspects of the Head of HR role. The current Head of HR will hold responsibility of delivery of a number of key HR strategic projects.

The backfill position will report to the Head of HR but will have daily contact with the CEO of Agribusiness and the Commercial Management team.

The backfill position will therefore be a HR Generalist role and will be involved in the following:

Recruitment and selection for all Management positions. This will be at first and second round levels.
Leading the performance management agenda. Following up on annual and quarterly reviews and following up on all training / development identified in the PDP's.
Leading the Succession Planning agenda & to develop management development plans.
To assist in strategy formulation and implementation. To formulate and implement strategic projects which will lead to improvement in HR Practices and Business performance.Dealing with any impending Industrial Relations issues.
To be heavily involved in applying a proactive approach to Change Management in pockets of the division e.g. Retail Culture Change and Business Manager process Change.
To lead and monitor the Communications agenda. This includes bi monthly team briefs as well as ongoing communications initiatives in the three pilot branches.
To assist in the development of the reward management policy
To be involved in a variety of ongoing cost reduction projects
