One of Ireland's leading retailers has a vacancy for an experienced merchandiser. Previous experience in analysing buying trends within fashion is required.
The merchandiser will partner with the buyer on range planning and promotions with a view to driving margins.
Responsibilities:
Manage the planning and in season trading functions to deliver the most profitable, balanced, customer focused range
Management of stock levels, OTB and distribution of the product.
Definition of department strategy in conjunction with the Buyer is essential to the role, as is the communication of this strategy to the rest of the business.
Establishing close working relationships within the B & M office and with other areas of the business is crucial to the success of this role.
Range Planning is an essential element of this role, to determine departmental spent, range width and buy quantities.
Merchandisers review all retail prices to maintain profits and manage the performance of the ranges, planning promotions and markdowns as necessary in conjunction with the buyers.
Requirements:
3+ years previous merchandising/buying experience within fashion
Experience in range planning and managing retail promotions.
Ability to analyse and report on buying trends
