Job description:
At RICHMOND RECRUITMENT our client is looking to recruit a Power Electronics Design Engineer.Design and development of power electronic assemblies from concept to medium scale production whilst ensuring that the product designs. Meets performance specifications, cost & reliability target. Complies with required regulatory standards. Are designed for manufacture & test (DFM &DFT) Liaising with cross-functional team ( PCB layout, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineer) to facilitate the design process. Liaising with multi-national design team to develop product specifications. Selection of raw materials, components and their suppliers based on product performance specifications, reliability and regulatory requirements. Evaluation of new technologies and design trade-offs. Participation in internal & international design reviews.Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering . 4 years relevant experience in hardware design particularlyinvolving power electronics and digital hardware. Knowledge of power conversion principles, topologies and technologies Experience of designing EMI filters / PCB layouts for minimum EMI. Self motivation, initiative and drive. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to write and analyze design documentation.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters in Electronic/Electrical Engineering. Experience of working with Brushless Motor and controllers.
