My client, a leading expanding medical device multinational require a Test Software Engineer.
3-5 years of industry experience minimum. Degree (Hons) in Computer Science/Applications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or comparable discipline. Working knowledge of computer hardware & software, manufacturing systems & processes. Programming and Debugging of Test applications an advantage. Programming experience advantages - VB, Labview, or C++ . Experience could also include:- CNC/PLC systems, control systems experience, Scada development, vision applications, robotic controllers, MIS etc.
Additional Requirements:
Mixture of HW & SW Exp on Test Equipment. Writing programs for test equip. SW development. Egle SW (propriety). Exp C++, Labview & Java. Mfg background (Test)
Position Description
Support of equipment and processes related to manufacturing, this includes responsibility for troubleshooting technical issues and working toward resolution. Software development & debug to regulated requirements, software installation and supporting daily manufacturing operations. This involves resolving yield and scrap issues, resolving line shutdown issues which may result from equipment or process issues. Improving manufacturing/test equipment and processes. This involves the design, development, and implementation of improvements which improve production yields, reduce the cycle time to produce products, reduce product / process costs, and improve safety, ergonomics, and environmental aspects. Transfer of equipment, processes, and technical expertise from US affiliates to the Ireland facility.
