Night Nurse, Buckinghamshire

37.5 hours per week

The Client:

Our client is a member of one of the top Private Hospital groups in the UK and as a result offers a dynamic and innovative service to its customers. The Hospital has 5 types of customer, patients, consultants, insurance companies, GP's, staff, each with their own demands and changing dynamics. The Hospital places student nurses from the local NHS Trust and overseas nurses, has dedicated NVQ assessors and places staff on Return to Nurse Practice courses. The Hospital has 32 beds divided across 1 ward including a 2 bedded HDU

The Candidate:

· The successful candidate should be registered with the NMC and have post graduate experience, gained with an acute hospital in England or overseas

· To communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

· Knowledge of UKCC Professional Codes and an awareness of Hospital Policies

· Demonstrate ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

· Articulate and knowledgeable about current health care issues

· Evidence of competency in area of practice

Essential

· Valid NMC Registration

· Registered Nurse level 1 or 2

· Evidence of professional development within scope of PREPP

Desirable

· ENB 998 or other relevant qualification

· Post registration course

The Responsibilities:

· To demonstrate a consistently high standard of nursing care

· To act as a role model for other members of staff

· To manage, direct and evaluate clinical care for a defined group of patients

· To contribute to the continuing development of professional nursing practice in the clinical environment

· To act as a mentor to nurse learners and preceptor to junior members of the nursing staff
