Job description:

R&D Biochemist Required

My Client is a leading Medical Device Manufacturing Company Based in Co Clare and Currently has a vacancy for a R&D Biochemist

The Role:

*     Development of immunoassays for the AU3000i, within the assay development team in 
       OLMEI.
*     Conjugate development
*     Solid phase development
*     Buffer optimisation
*     Prepare and maintain R&D Procedures to comply with current practices and required 
       Quality Standards
*     Calibration and maintenance of Laboratory equipment
*     Upkeep of neat and accurate written records as per relevant R&D procedures
*     Compliance with set Housekeeping/Safety/Environmental standards and regulations 
       within the department
*     Training of new personnel in all aspects of job function
*     Any other duties as deemed appropriate by Team Leader

Qualification & experience:

*     B.Sc.or higher in Scientific field or other relevant technical field    *
*     A minimum of 1 year experience within a GLP R&D facility, preferably FDA regulated    *
*     Experience in assay development essential    *
*     Chromatography (FPLC, HPLC) & analyser experience desirable    *
    *     Experience in protein chemistry desirable    *
*     Excellent written, communication and inter-personal skills are essential    *
*     Proven ability to work under own initiative and to aggressive deadlines    *
    *     Health & Safety awareness    *
