Lending Manager

Job Description

As Lending Manager your role will be to develop and manage relationships with a portfolio of business customers aimed at maximisation of income growth, achievement of targets and delivery of service quality, making lending decisions within delegated limits whilst protecting credit risk profiles and asset quality of the portfolio of business lending

Roles/Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of customers, developing financing/lending proposals/packages and bids for business customers within guidelines to achieve income target levels
• Implement competitive and aggressive income campaigns and initiatives to achieve asset growth coupled with a specific emphasis on achieving strong cross sales, increased market share penetration and associated targets
• Work with the Head of Business to formulate and implement annual business plans to deliver income targets for the allocated customer portfolio
• Develop new customer relationships by identifying new business and referral opportunities and implement specific Regional sales/income campaigns
• Personally sanction business lending within own personal lending authority, including gathering and analysing customer financial information and using this to make lending decisions
• Develop and utilise networks of internal and external contacts/referral partne

Skills/Experience

? Have at least five years experience as a lending manager in business banking with a proven track record in business development.
? Be capable of building strong relationships with businesses, professionals and other introducers
? Have first hand experience in deal structuring, documentation and completion of transactions
? Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and a drive and hunger to succeed
? Have a third level and/or professional business qualification.
