Deputy Nurse Manager Aged Care, North London
In partnership with its client, Cpl Healthcare is currently seeking a deputy nurse manager for a permanent role based in North London.
The Client
This newly refurbished state of the art facility is close to all public transport and local amenities. They provide a stimulating home from home environment with a dedicated nursing and healthcare team, offering support and companionship to improve the overall well being of their residents. This facility has 56 individual purpose built en-suite residential rooms, providing specialist individual care. They offer a welcoming, luxurious and safe place in which to enjoy life providing all the nursing care required.
Job Responsibilities
· Successful candidates will be required to assist in leading a professional nursing team
· Supervise the professional skills and development of qualified and unqualified staff
· Assist in the development of policies and procedures
· Act as company representative, promoting the company image ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
· Liaising with the Marketing Manager to ensure full bed occupancy.
· To ensure the care and welfare of residents is always delivered to the highest standards
· Ensuring adequate staff cover at all times and training and monitoring of staff
Essential criteria
· Active NMC registration, compliance with NMC codes
· Accurate and clear record keeping in line with NMC guidelines for records and record keeping
· 1 year experience in junior management role desirable
· Minimum of 4 years current post registration experience
· Experience of managing budgets
· Excellent verbal and written English
· Very strong knowledge of Care Quality Commission Guidelines
· Genuine passion for gerontology nursing and professional development in this area
