Job description: Systems Integration Biochemist - Clinical ChemistryMy Client is a Leading Medical Device Manufacturing Company based in Co.Clare and Currently have a vacancy for a Systems Integration Biochemist - Clinical Chemistry.The Role:* Provide expertise and support for new Olympus Clinical Chemistry instrument development - Carry out studies on instrument features which may have an impact on reagent performance/system requirements* Working closely with R&D department personnel, you will provide expertise and support for reagent verification/validation studies on new Olympus Clinical Chemistry instruments * Simulation of routine testing in a typical customer environment to ensure that new applications meet performance requirements on all current Clinical Chemistry instrument platforms * Support R&D project teams on verification/validation studies on current Clinical Chemistry instrument platforms* Investigation of calibration and control stability in a typical customer environment, using available instrument features * Studying technical aspects such as - carryover performance (Sample and reagent), - impact of system solutions on instrument functionality - impact of system consumables on reagent/system performance * Provide advanced training and support for various in-house departments* Provide expertise and support to various in-house departments during reagent failure investigation and system irregularities (CSU, Tech Services, QC)The Candidate:Education: B. Sc. in a relevant scientific disciplineExperience: Role is focussed on understanding the customer needs and ensuring that all aspects of product development is accomplished with the customer in mind. Candidates who have experience in reagent evaluations, an understanding of market and customer related requirements and support of clinical chemistry systems in the field will have a distinct advantage for this role.
