Training Manager
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop a Strategic Training Program for the site and work closely with all departments to ensure alignment with business strategy
· Gain Site and Division agreement on the Training Program and develop milestones for implementation and proposals on organisation structures to support the program
· Participate and assist in the creation, development and delivery of training programs focused on elevating capabilities specifically for On the Job performance for the various functions
· In conjunction wit site management define the Training Certification way forward and build a plan to implement the agreed path
· Liaise with Managers / Team Leaders to ensure employees are trained to a defined competency and standard
· Define the elements of Training Evaluation and implement ongoing evaluation and develop continuous improvement on the delivery of training
· Manage, coordinate and deliver the site Induction and Orientation programs and drive for continuous improvements in both
· Oversee internal training audits and act as point of contact for external auditors of the Training System
· Manage financial budget allocation to ensure area operates within agreed plans
· Optimize the use of human resources by encouraging an atmosphere of involvement, open communication and effective teamwork
· Responsible for the management and performance of the site training tracking system, ETMS and the execution of any upgrades or improvements
· Ensure that all documentation and work practices comply with Corporate, Division and ISO requirements
· Generate Monthly Quality Reports on training and training compliance performance
· Provide ongoing Training support to all areas to ensure compliance to Training Systems
Requirements:

· Advanced leadership skills in order to build an effective team by providing clear direction and defined priorities
· Clear ability to develop strong working relationships with department managers
· Ability to communicate clearly and interact with a wide range of people
· Excellent written, oral & presentation skills
· Excellent listening skills
· Ability to work on own initiative, however the ability to work as part of a team is also
essential
· Flexible with excellent self-motivation skills
· Ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines
· Knowledge of training techniques and learning theory
· Excellent time management

Education & Experience:
· A relevant third level qualification is required for this role. In addition, a qualification in supervisory management would be beneficial
· At least 4 years previous experience in a training and development role
