Manufacturing Financial Officer/Controller


Responsibilities:

· Drive the financial review of all manufacturing activities in both routine and ad-hoc forums.
· To be a key business partner capable of clearly defining and influencing the vision and strategic planning of the EMEA manufacturing business.
· Develop the financial models/ justifications around all strategic manufacturing projects.
· Ensure the success of all approved projects with appropriate financial tracking both on spend and tracking the benefit to the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
· Participate in strategic planning, including provision of overall direction to corporate, regional and site management on financial and management accounting, budgeting, costing and financial planning.
· Participate with the accounting group in all management and statutory accounting functions including forecasting, preparation of monthly financial reports, analysis, etc..
· Ensure the implementation of all Group policies/financial and asset control policies to ensure effective and practical implementation at site level.
· Review of Sites financial reports & results with local site management and corporate management.
· Review of all metrics including split between Business Unit / market; including headcount, backlog, orders & inventory as well as all other Key Performance Indicators
· Partner with local management and provide support, supervision and advise to ensure sites are compliant with policies and best practice so that audits (internal & external) do not raise major issues
· To ensure working capital and inventories across EMEA are managed and valued in accordance with Corporate Policy and best practice
· To support local site management in aspects of Financial Control
· To provide ad hoc accounting support as requirements demand

Qualifications / skills:

· Qualified Accountant & member of recognised Professional Body.
· Experience with an International multi-location Group
· Track Record of Financial management, administration and personnel management at a senior level (at minimum gained at Site Controller level of a large manufacturing site with multiple business units.)
· Experience of company reporting processes and systems essential
· Organised, logical thinker; attentive to detail
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to participate with others in projects and innovation
· Ability to communicate and to present reports & ideas
· IT literate with extensive ERP experience (preferably in QAD Mfgpro and or SAP) experience and skills in Spreadsheet and Database systems
· Must be prepared to travel as role demands (typically 50% of the time)
· Track record of success in senior management accounts role
· Track record of problem solving, significant element of working unsupervised, and directing the work of others



Scope of role:
§ Manufacturing plants in Malaysia(1), Czech Republic (2), Germany (2), France (1), and Italy (1).
§ Liase with accounting group in Athlone, Ireland where the position will be based.

Measures of success:

§ Accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts within Manufacturing.
§ Accurate and timely forecasts- no surprises
§ Ensure meet Sox compliance in all site transactions and control activities
§ Meet budget requirements - Drive financial reporting, reviews and corrective action
