Network Specialist required for Cork!

My client leading global IT company with offices based in Cork is seeking a Network Specialist to join their existing team. The Ideal candidate with have a Degree/Diploma in IT, CCNA Certified, 3-4 years experience and experience with TCP/IP based networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service while answering complex customer questions or problems, over the telephone or email, in the areas of system configuration, setup and functionality for our award-winning network management, configuration management and network engineering products.
• Very strong skills are required in IP inter-networking, Microsoft operating systems, SQL database operation and network management utilities.
• Responsible for escalating support issues to the appropriate experts within the company, owning support issues until resolution and acting as primary support liaison between company and customer
• Keeps customer informed of how and when problems are resolved
• Assist in the documentation and reproduction of customer issues to allow for R&D to create solutions and future enhancements.
• Provides work leadership to less experienced Technical Customer Support Center Specialists.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and customer interaction skills are critical for this position.

Required Skills and Experience:

* Degree/ Diploma in IT, CCNA, CCIE

* Knowledge of network hardware configurations for Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Concentrators.

* 4+ years experience in similar role

* Strong experience in TCP/IP based networks

* Must have strong reasoning and technical troubleshooting skills.
