Job description: Business Analyst role available in financial services - experience in this sector, particularly stock broking is advantageous.

The Role :

Contribute towards maximising the efficiency of systems and processes
To analyse, understand and support existing applications
To work closely with business users to understand issues and identify system and/or process solutions
To develop business requirements, functional specifications, test plans and related documentation in support of systems initiatives
To liaise with members of the IT function and external vendors to determine how best deliver those requirements
To carry out preliminary testing of software changes
To work closely with members of the IT function and business users in designing and executing test plans

The Candidate :

Related 3rd level degree e.g computer science

Proven track record of working in a technically complex environment

Well-developed IT skills and solid experience of the full system development life cycle

Experience of translating business needs into formal business requirements and functional specifications

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Knowledge of using SQL to extract/query data

Project management skills beneficial
