Job description:  Initial 6 month contract requirement for an experienced Project Manager

Leading financial services provider are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team. Reporting into the PMO you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects within the time, budget and scope of objectives as agreed with the Project Board.

Responsibilities

• The principal objective of this role will be to successfully deliver project outcomes using the end to end project management process (start up, initiation, control, managing product delivery, managing stage boundaries and closure).
• Planning all project activities and resources, management of issues & risks and day to day project control for a number of key projects.
• Ensure communication between Project Board, Team and Stakeholders exists at the agreed level.
• Complete the necessary project control documentation to include Project Initiation Document, Highlight and End Project Reports.
• Manage a cross functional project team to achieve deliverables/products within the agreed cost, time & scope.
• Influence and coach project team members who are allocated to the project on a part time basis.

Knowledge and Experience Required

• Qualification in Prince2 project management methodology desired.
• Have a minimum of 5 years experience of managing projects at all stages of the project lifecycle wiithin the Financial Services industry.
• A proven track record of implementing and delivering IT based projects
• Strong communication skills at all levels
