Job description:
CHILLDED FOOD BUYER - DUBLIN - SALARY: COMPETITIVE

CPL is seeking an experienced Chilled Food Buyer for one of our biggest grocery Supermarket chains.

Our client has presence throughout the country and has a healthy place within the Irish Grocery market



Requirements:

• Experience within Retail Food Buying
• Chilled Produce Buying experience would be a plus
• At least 3 years experience within Retail Buying
• Product, Market and Industry knowledge
• Fluent English and ability to work in a team

Key Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Working with the Range Planner to develop a quality range that clearly differentiates us in the market place and is interesting and exciting to our customers.
• Consolidate our supply base and negotiate the very best possible terms for supply.
• Working with the Senior Buyer to optimize the sales and profit return from your category through achieving operational excellence, sourcing interesting products, and negotiating the best possible terms form suppliers.
• Ensure promotional calendar drives sales and margin and is planned well in advance.
• Work closely with the Distribution Centre, Store Operations and Suppliers to minimize waste, markdown and shrink.
