Job description:
Automation Technician

Position Summary:
Provide production support in a highly automated production facility and to implement strategic and tactical enhancements to these systems, to provide a competitive advantage for manufacturing. Experience of High Volume manufacturing process acquired over 2-3 years as well as an ability to work as part of a production critical team to resolve floor issues quickly. An electrical background with PLC experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

• Repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems equipment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
• Implementation of on-going CPI projects.
• Interact with other departments as required to co-ordinate equipment repairs.
• Work proactively to ensure performance targets are met.

Core Competencies:

Education:

• Cert/Diploma/Senior Trades in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Skills:

• Strong PC Skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong teamwork abilities.

Experience:

• Demonstrate a high level of Technical ability in a similar environment.

High level of flexibility; shift changes/travel commitments/training courses.
