My Client a leading supplier of Managed Email Services based in Dublin South is seeking to recruit a Field Service Engineer. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be capable of communicating in an efficient and courteous manner to users of all levels.
Job Description:
We require a Field Service Engineer to supplement our current customer support team who provide on-site installation, consultancy and technical support on our complete product range to Irish business users.
The main focus of the role will be based on installation and support of the McAfee range of anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-spyware, Intrusion detection and prevention systems, vulnerability assessment and remediation products and other related security solutions. It is therefore essential that potential candidates have experience with these or similar products.
Our products and services that we support are:
* Firewalls, particularly Juniper ,Checkpoint, Cisco and Symantec
* Mail and web filtering and monitoring software such as MimeSweeper and Websense
* Mail security appliances such as McAfee SIG, MIMEsweeper appliance, Copperfasten and CipherTrust
* Desktop and server anti-virus software such as McAfee, Sophos, Symantec and Trend.
* Encryption software - PGP and Safeboot
Experience and knowledge of some of the above products is a definite pre-requisite.
The successful candidate will work closely with our team of support professionals and will be expected to contribute effectively within a short period of coming onboard.
Experience:
* Potential candidates will be educated to degree level.
* Minimum of three year's experience in a user support environment.
* Have Strong Networking experience.
* CCNA, CCNP would be very beneficial
Other requirements:
The position will involve travel throughout Ireland, and a clean driving licence and ownership of a car would be a distinct advantage.
