To be world class they hire the best in the industry and they are currently looking for a Software R&D Test Engineer.

This position is for an engineer in our clients MultiMedia Applications R&D group in Galway. The successful candidate will report directly to the Verification Manager. The successful candidate will have responsibility for developing system level test plans and executing standard test procedures.
The successful candidate will have project level responsibilities for verification of newly designed multimedia application software products to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Work is carried out within set procedures as defined by our clients corporate quality procedures.

Key Accountabilities of Position:-

Generation and execution of System/Solution based test cases.
Creation of Innovative Unified Communications solutions.
Creation of Automation test scripts for SIP and Multimedia Applications.
Attendance at design reviews for integrated end-to-end test planning.
Proposing solutions and resolving problems within scope of projects.
Representing verification in challenges with other groups over test coverage suitability.
Recording product deficiencies and working with designers on root cause analysis/duplication.

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:-

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Working knowledge of client-server based architecture and Microsoft server operating systems
Good communication and team working skills.
Good understanding of the procedures for software test. ISEB certification a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of IP and Data Networking Principles
Knowledge of Automation test tools such as WinRunner a distinct advantage.

Qualifications:-

3rd Level degree in electronic engineering, computer science or related discipline.
3+ years of technical lead experience in a global or major organisation.
Proven track record in technical areas such as sever-client architecture and telecom applications.
