Job Description:
The Quality Systems Supervisor is a member of the Quality & Continuous Improvement team. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with the COMPANY (Aerospace) certified Quality Management System. Responsibilities include acting as the process owner for several key quality and compliance processes and the measurement, reporting and continuous improvement of these. The role will work closely with other sister site customers and occasional travel will be required.
Key specific tasks include:
Process ownership, including measurement, reporting and continuous improvement of Key processes including the following:
Quality system audit process
Documentation control process
Configuration management process
Customer complaints and corrective action process
Engineering change process
Records process
These process responsibilities are outlined in more detail below:
Quality System Audit Process
Development and improvement of the quality system audit process
Maintenance of AS/EN9100 accreditation for the site
Ensuring continued compliance with Standards requirements
Setting, co-ordinating and achieving site-wide quality audit schedule
Participating in audits to verify compliance to standards and required processes
Facilitating external quality system audits (e.g. regulatory bodies or customers)
Promptly communicating audit findings internally, and responses to the external bodies
Documentation Control Process
Documentation centre management including supervision and development of supporting staff
Development of efficient documentation archiving and provision of optimum IT solutions
Controlling all QMS documentation, parts lists, component and specification drawings, production documentation and Standards (approval, issue, obsolescence)
Management of all product assembly documents in line with a high reliability environment
Ensuring documentation and control complies with Standards requirements and config control
Configuration Management Process:
Ensuring compliance with product configuration controls
Customer complaints process and corrective action process
Take leadership in continuous improvement of complaints as measured by customer satisfaction
Setup and timely response of customer feedback issues (SDNs etc)
Developing measures of customer acceptance
Supporting improvement through guiding process owners and reviewing effectiveness
Engineering Change Process:
Timely implementation of approved internal or external engineering orders
Ensuring customer and regulatory notification as required
Co-ordination and improvement of the change management process (EO process)
Review all EOs and deviations for clarity, accuracy and completeness
Co-ordinate EO implementation to ERP system and Production Documentation
Provide support to all departments regarding EO process
Records Process:
Control of all records per the QMS
Record archiving and management of internal and offsite record storage mechanisms
Development of efficient paperless solutions
Other:
Support New Product Introduction process
Support Training activities for new hires or for processes within responsibility
Promote and lead by example quality best practices
Minimum years experience:
Required: 5+ Years of experience
Essential skills/experience:
University Diploma/Degree in a technical or quality discipline
Substantial experience of implementing and improving quality management systems is a must, preferably in a high reliability or regulated environment (e.g. EN9100 Aerospace, Automotive QS9000, medical/pharma)
Must have a working knowledge of compliance activities (eg. Configuration Management, Document/Drawing control practices, Problem Reporting and Corrective Action)
Database competency and I.T. literacy
