Job description:

Analytical Chemist, Dublin

In partnership with its client Kenny-Whelan is currently seeking a two Quality Control Analysts for 6 month contract roles based in Dublin

The Position:

Working in a multidisciplinary analytical team the role will be to provide technical expertise to support execution of analytical.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide analytical technical support for the development of pilot scale production of vaccines and proteins process development and activities as required.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance as required support to process development and pilot manufacturing operations.
• Participate in the technical writing and review of supporting process and analytical reports.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. or higher qualification in analytical biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology or a related discipline.
• Experience in several major areas of analytical sciences such as: various modes of analytical chromatography, wet chemistry techniques and spectrophotometry, HPLC
• Working knowledge of capillary electrophoresis, SDS/PAGE, ELISAs and biophysical techniques considered an advantage.
• Capability of working in a multi-disciplinary team, have good problem solving abilities and possess a high level of communication skills.
• Ability to independently plan and perform work assignments, interpret and present data.
• An understanding of industry specific standards/ regulations e.g. GMP, Environmental, Health and Safety etc.
• 2 years + experience in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry with independent contributions as an analytical scientist through one or more of the following:
• Demonstration of problem solving ability through independent contributions to analytical method development programs.
