Job description: At RICHMOND RECRUITMENT our client is looking to recruit a indirect procurement strategic buyer.
Main areas of responsibility:<br />-Conversion of purchase requisitions to PO's - ensuring compliance to policy guidelines - e.g. Bid Analysis/Deviation form attached, and also ensuring accuracy of detail on the PO - e.g. cost centre, suppression of price if requested, reversal of price and quantity if service PO .....<br /><br />-Ensure PO's are raised only against those that have been identified as 'Preferred Vendors'<br />-Support the implementation of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance <br />-Supporting requisitioners on sites in relation to procurement queries and support at supplier meetings as required<br />-Support and ensure consistent application of Pfizer procurement policies and procedures. <br />-Purchase of supplies and services to ensure continuous improvement of quality, cost and service <br />-Develop an understanding of the spend within the areas of PO conversion responsibility to support the gathering of data on spend and supplier performance etc.<br />-Attend bi-weekly central buyer group meetings<br />-Manage Ireland-wide projects/site specific projects within the Ireland area - working in conjunction with the Procurement Co-Ordinators (as time & workload permits)<br />-Work with the site functional leaders as they prepare budgets to ensure any negotiations are reflected in their budget submissions. <br />-Track and report cost savings as a result of initiatives being implemented <br />-Work closely with the Strategic Procurement Co-Ordinators, and the Global Category Strategy Managers to implement any initiatives negotiated and agreed at National, European or Global level.<br />A 12 month contract vacancy has arisen for an Indirect Procurement Strategic Buyer at the OSG offices of Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals in Cork.
