Our client is a well established and successfully growing business with over 30 years experience in Electrical & Mechanical Contracting, Consultancy / Project Management and more recently Manufacturing for the Pharmaceutical industry.
For a number of years they have been involved in the planning applications process for renewable energy projects and are now looking to take on a qualified and experienced Environmental Engineer to head up and expand this department.
Ideally the candidate will have at least 2 - 3 years experience with an Irish or UK based Engineering Consultancy compiling Environmental Impact Statements for renewable energy and/or large scale Civil projects.
Overall duties include:
- Oversee the EIS report compilation team through the planning stage.
- Co-ordinate subcontractors such as ecology, archaeology, etc. to ensure planning permission requirements are accurately met.
- Ensure all environmental requirements are carried out in accordance with the department environment specifications.
- Thorough understand of traffic management, wind analysis etc.
Candidates require:
- Excellent report writing skills
- Highly organised
- Highly self motivated
- Excellent team leader capabilities and previous man-management experience.
This is a rare opportunity for a hard working and motivated individual to move into a Department Management position without necessarily having previous experience in a similar start-up role.
Salary will be subject to the calibre and experience of the successful candidate but as this is a key position within the organisation, an attractive package will be put in place at offer stage.
