Job description:  

Field Service Engineer - Wexford Based!

My Client a leading IT consultancy with offices based in Wexford is currently seeking a professional services engineer to join their team of engineers working on professional services technical projects on customer sites. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity, offering exposure to a broad range of skills and varying site requirements. This is a permanent position. This position is based out of the Wexford office.

Duties & skills required include:

• Windows Server 2000/2003 administration and set up experience along with Windows XP and Vista is required.
• Windows Small Business Server administration and setup.
• Configuration of Router and firewalls (Cisco, SonicWall) for DSL, WAN and VPN configuration.
• MS Exchange/ISA knowledge is essential.
• Content Security Solutions e.g. MailMarshal, WebMarshal.
• SUS/SMS/MOM Server knowledge an advantage
• HP, Dell and IBM server, hardware configuration knowledge is required
• Citrix and Terminal Services Basics are required
• Responsible for the timely delivery of clients professional service technical requirements
• Excellent Communicator
• Customer Service Orientation with excellent problem solving skills
• Strong documentation skills.
• Ability to work in fast moving, dynamic environment
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Flexibility

Requirements:

• Full clean driving license
• 3 years experience in IT relating to skills required!
• Degree or Diploma in IT
• CCNA, MCSE, MCP would be a distinct advantage
