Job description:  

Maintenance Engineer

Position description:

• Provision of the effective and timely maintenance support of manufacturing equipment and utilities in accordance with good manufacturing practises, ISO, FDA and Environmental Health and safety regulations and corporate policy.<?

• Provision for mechanical/electrical evaluations in the procurement of new, replacement and upgrading of utilities/manufacturing related equipment.

• Participates as a key contributor to the process/utility validation projects from a maintenance/facility perspective with key activities including:

• Generation of user requirement specification, F.A.T for utility equipment and support for commissioning and installation qualifications of new utilities/process equipment.

• Generation of PM program and schedules for new and current equipment within the computerized maintenance management system.

• Maintaining the validated state using the site process change process.

• Provision of the development and maintenance of a site preventative maintenance “spare parts” program in line with industry best practise and site requirements.

• Leadership of projects to resolve complex mechanical/electrical issues with automated filling and associated packaging/labelling equipment and purified water systems.

Person Specification:

• Ideally the candidate will have a third level degree in related engineering (mechanical/electromechanical) discipline with a good knowledge of GMP, ISO and FDA regulatory requirements.

• A minimum of 3 years experience is required in qualification and preventative maintenance of automated filling lines, packaging and labelling technology, utility equipment and purified water systems is essential.

• A good knowledge of PC based software systems including computerized maintenance management system is essential.
