  • Determine export license requirements and prepare export license applications for submission to the Irish Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE), as necessary.
  • Review and release export holds in product fulfillment systems, as required.
  • Interpret Irish and European Union (EU) government export regulations and their applicability to Analog Devices (ADI) products.
  • Respond in a timely manner to resolve export issues/questions generated by national government licensing officers
  • Provide knowledge and guidance to all interfacing product lines and functional groups, with regards to export compliance, in a timely manner.
  • Assist product lines and functions, as required, with the creation of business processes/procedures which will ensure compliance
  • Facilitate preparation of management reports and training materials, as required, while developing, sharing and spreading best practices internally.
  • Maintain current awareness of Irish and EU government regulations and developments impacting business activities to ensure export compliance.
  • Ensure export and import classification data in ERP (SAP) and other product fulfillment systems is maintained in all matters related to trade compliance.
  • Performs all other tasks as assigned/directed by on-site Host Manager and/or Global Export Compliance Manager.

Basic Qualifications:
  • University business degree or 1-3 years of work experience in export/import compliance or in a related area such as Customer Service, Finance or Logistics.
  • General understanding of Irish/EU export licensing process or the ability, desire and aptitude to learn this process in a short timeframe.
  • High-level professional ability in both oral and written communication.
  • Good interpersonal skills - this job requires a large amount of interaction with people.
  • Ability/aptitude to comprehend and interpret government regulations.
  • Demonstrated professional qualities to perform effectively in a corporate environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Office, SAP ERP application, etc.).
  • Some basic knowledge of Import/Customs regulations (Ireland and other EU countries) and related activities (HS classification, valuation, country of origin, etc.) would be very beneficial in order to assist with AEO certification activities (no more than 10% of time to be spent on this)
Additional Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of semiconductor industry products and manufacturing processes, which would enable the candidate to better match the technical properties of products with the export regulations
