At RICHMOND RECRUITMENT our client is looking to recruit Localisation Co-Ordinator.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Manage multiple UA projects from scope analysis, scheduling, budgeting, tracking and reporting . Responsible for delivery of translated material back to project teams to budget and timescale. Manage 3rd party partners to maximize operational and service goal achievement. Initiates action to identify and resolve project problems/issues and on mitigating steps and actions taken to ensure timely deliverables, project success and quality. Work with all the our clients internal Tech Pub teams to define and continuously improve the localisation process. Identify exceptions to the standard process with the Tech Pub teams. Communicate with the Program Managers on schedules and deliveries. Monitor performance of vendors and give input to vendor selection strategy. Frequent, concise communications to senior management, relating to project progress and issues. Ensures delivery of translated material is accurate and have been validated. Responsible for defining and managing Glossary process.
PERSON SPECIFICATION The ideal candidate should be from a Localisation Vendor Project Management background, experience of localization, DTP, IT or engineering. Proven track record in managing complex , multi-language and multi-component UA Localization schedules. Must have a strong understanding of vendor rates and rate compilation. Excellent technical knowledge of Help and Documentation systems including DTP. Detailed knowledge of Trados, Framemaker, HTML, Publishing, DTP. Knowledge of Photoshop, Acrobat, Webworks, Single-sourcing, AuthorIT, Graphics, Print process, XML, ASP, Content Management Systems an advantage. Good financial/budget management experience. Experience of workflow systems an advantage. Excellent understanding of the localisation process and foreign customs and conventions.
