Senior Web Developer - ASP.NET/VB.NET required for my client based in Cork City.
Your role will be to co-ordinate and manage all internal development projects and to engage in the full life-cycle of the projects including project analysis, specification writing, and system testing. You will also be required to be involved in key engagements with clients and project managers.
Experience Required:
- Extensive experience in ASP.NET (VB.NET) is required
- Years experience (3+ years)
- Strong overall ASP.NET experience and a thorough understanding of other web technologies.
- You must be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work in a team, as well as working individually.
- The ideal candidate will have design skills and knowledge of Photoshop, (X) HTML & CSS.
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems is also desirable.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Core skills: VB.NET, ASP.NET 2.0+. T-SQL
- Systems Analysis and Specification writing
- .Net, IIS experience is crucial
- Good aptitude to quality programming and fast learner.
- Visual Studio 2005/2008, SQL Server 2000/5, .Net 2.0+
- Experience with mission critical database driven sites highly preferred.
- Self starter who can get things done
- Effective and swift problem solving skills
Advantageous
- C#, Javascript
- e-Commerce gateway skills
- MS Certification
- BSc/MSc in IT field
