Logistics Coordinator Required

My Client, a Worldwide company requires has an opening for a Logistics Planner.  The Role requires strong organisational skills, the capability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines and a high degree of flexibility.
This role is based in Shannon.

The Role:

*    Provide day-to-day support for Worldwide Logistics issues such as:
        -    Proactive Tracking of inbound supply
        -    Expediting Orders
        -    Dealing with service failures (missing/incomplete shipments, damages etc)
        -    Timely communication of issues to Internal Customer
        -    Review Daily Reports from Suppliers and escalate as appropriate for resolution
*    Day-to-Day Management of Worldwide Logistics Vendors
        -    Freight Cost Analysis & Freight Activity Reporting
        -    Activity Metrics & Carrier Performance
*    Management of the Freight Invoice Auditing Process

The Ideal Candidate:

*    Should have 3-5 years relevant experience of Logistics in a high volume international
      manufacturing or service organisation
*    Should have experience of an Outsourced Supply Chain & Logistics Environment
*    Should have Excellent communication, computing & interpersonal skills
*    Should be a Self-starter who is motivated & innovative
*    Experience with SAP is a distinct advantage
