THE JOB
Principal Tasks
· Plan, co-ordinate and direct completion of audited annual and unaudited interim accounts with all parties ie auditors, printers and translators.
· Review audited annual and unaudited interim accounts
· Organise and attend meetings with audit firms Coach and instruct team leaders in the department
· Observe, inspect and evaluate performance of other staff in the department
· Involvement in recruitment and selection of new staff
· Develop new ways of making department more efficient through use of IT systems
· Chair meetings of the fund accounting department and attend other committee meetings on behalf of the department
·
· Deal with complex issues on audits

Reporting to a senior manager, this permanent position offers an opportunity for the successful candidate to manage a team of people in the Financial Reporting department of the leading fund administrator in Ireland.
THE PERSON
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience working in a financial reporting environment
Core Competencies
· PC literate with very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Up to date on all technical issues relating to format, presentation and content of interim and annual reports
· Experience in managing audit of company/trust accounts in a team environment
· Have an enquiring mind and a willingness to investigate and solve problems
· Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
· Ability to delegate work to others
· Experience of working to deadlines, must be able to manage time effectively
