Piping Designer
Position reports to: |
Lead Piping Designer |
Primary objective
To produce design deliverables and lists for a given project
Specific objective
· Equipment modelling in 3D model
· Routing of lines in accordance with P&ID's in 3D model
· Production of Piping General Arrangements & Isometrics
· Production of piping MTO's
Specific Accountabilities
· Working to a given schedule
· Accuracy of design documentation
· Working to and using the company management system
· Compliance to company, client, local and international standards as given in the project PEP
· Quality Assurance - Work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc
· Safety - Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures
Essential Skills/Experience
Essential: Excellent 2D computer design skills with AutoCAD or Microstation, excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, ability to create accurate design drawings from base project information
Desirable: Experience with 3D modelling systems such as PDS, PDMS or AutoPlant.
Some experience with advanced engineering design and data systems such as SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Foundation.
