Job description:  The Equipment & Automated Systems Engineer will assume the following responsibilities:

• Complete E&AS (Equipment and Automated System) deliverables for new equipment purchases required to support the manufacture of a new coil product
• Liaise with Process Development and Equipment Design engineer to understand equipment use and functionality and develop necessary installation and validation support documentation
• Work with equipment vendors to address specific software validation requirements
• Have a working knowledge of the Machinery Directive 98/37/EC (i.e. CE marking)
• Participating where appropriate in the phase review process and the PDG meetings with respect to new products
• Development and implementation of appropriate supporting documentation which complies with GMP in conjunction with other team members

Candidates will require the following combination of education and skills:

• Preferably Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering or Science discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Production etc) 3-5 years relevant experience
• Understand software validation requirements
• Demonstrated problem solver
• Demonstrated communications ability
• Experience in the medical device industry is an advantage
