Job description: Senior Network Engineer
One of our clients is recruiting a Senior Network Engineer to manage and apply new technologies and projects to improve reliability, reduce costs and improve network performance to enhance service offering; To work with members of the Network support organization and local Europe domains to ensure maximum up-time and performance for the network, providing a reliable platform for the organization's applications.

Job Description:
To work closely with network staff globally to ensure that solutions and implementations provide the best possible performance and reliability, and that the design is consistent for all initiatives;
Provide support in the creation, maintenance and testing of system and enterprise wide business network planning;
Provide feedback and criticism within the global & local network groups on network design and both chosen and available technologies, ensuring that the most appropriate
architecture is chosen to meet the business goals;
Aide in the management of deployment and installation of new technologies to support our services in Europe to the maximum benefit of the organization;
Manage network efforts with major focus assuring adequacy of network performance for business requirements in all areas including production, support and sales staff, customer and extranet solutions, and maintaining continued operations and maximum up-time for all network components.

Requirements:
Knowledge and experience of Network Security and Design best practices and business controls;
Experience with routing and switching network technologies, and an ability to troubleshoot problems at all 7 layers of the OSI network model;
Industry certification preferred especially in networking disciplines (e.g. CCNP, JNCIS, MCSE, ENE);
Strong core knowledge of Cisco, Netscreen, Extreme Networks and Checkpoint operating systems;
At least 3 years Europe IP service industry networking experience;
Experience with Firewall, Frame Relay, Internet, Intrusion Detection Systems and Ethernet network administration.
